Jace Broadhurst serves as the senior pastor of St Andrews Baptist Church.  Reverend Dr. Broadhurst graduated with a BA from the University of MD,  an M.Div from Reformed Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D  in Hermeneutics and Biblical Studies from Westminster Theological Seminary.  His passion for training pastors and Christian leaders has called him to teach in several seminaries and universities in the US and abroad.   He has academic articles, reviews, and a book but is most excited about his pastoral call and serving the body of Christ in this capacity. He has served large and small congregations in various denominations in Maryland, Florida, North Carolina, California, Indiana, overseas and now in South Carolina. His three boys (Kadin, Rhyston, and Davin) are grown and scattered but oh how he loves it when they come "home."  He loves reading, working out, watching TV, and pick-up games of Volleyball, Ultimate and Soccer. He can't wait to show people the beauty of Jesus in Columbia and beyond.

 A graduate of Toccoa Falls College, Emily has a BA in English as well as in Bible and Theology. Hobbies of Emily's include swimming, reading, writing, and photography. She is close to her friends and family and is the middle child of three.

Drew Garnett is a South Carolina native who grew up in Irmo, where he was an active member of St. Andrews Baptist Church. A graduate of Clemson University, Drew brings a diverse and analytical professional background to the real estate industry, with extensive experience in healthcare administration as well as healthcare and real estate finance.

Now a Real Estate Agent with Bluefield Realty Group, Drew leverages his financial expertise and deep local roots to guide his clients through the complexities of buying and selling property. He currently resides in Chapin and is the proud father of two sons, ages 13 and 11.

Crystal Preston is an administrative professional with an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Everest University. She has been married to her husband, Johnny, for eight years and is the proud mom of two grown sons. At home, she enjoys life with her two pets—Raptor, a mixed‑breed dog, and a kitten with a hint of Maine Coon. In her free time, Crystal loves reading, coloring, crafting, and relaxing with a good Netflix show.

Beth has been a faithful member of St. Andrews since 2012 and joined the church staff in 2022, where she serves in Children’s Ministry. She has been married to her husband, William, for 37 years. Together they have three sons who live in the Columbia area and three grandchildren who bring immense joy to their lives.
Beth is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with children—especially babies. She is committed to creating a happy, safe, and engaging environment where children can learn and understand Biblical truth, building a strong spiritual foundation that will guide them throughout their lives.

Merri Christy graduated from Converse College with a BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a masters in Christian Education with an emphasis in Childhood Ministry.  She is married to Jeffrey, and they have 2 daughters.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading and going to the mountains.

I have been a member of the staff since 2016. I am a retired military veteran of 20 years of which half my military career was with the 82nd Airborne Division as U.S. Paratrooper in Fort Bragg North Carolina. My primary job in the military was a 25WP which is a Telecommunication Chief. I obtained the rank of Sergeant First Class before retiring in 2007.  After the military I attended Cantura College where I received a degree in Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR).

Before coming to Saint Andrews Baptist Church, I worked for Atlantic Tower Services out of Orlando Florida as a HVAC technician maintaining cellular phone towers in the southeastern region. I also worked as HVAC technician for 2nd Wind Heating and Air.

I am married to my beautiful wife Jill who I met and married in the Philippines.  We have handsome son 14 year son. The mantras that I live by are: Good things come from change, I embrace the unknown,  Leaders lead from the front, Do not set the example be the example, Family comes first and always strive to become the best version of yourself.
