Holy Casseroley News

The Holy Casseroley Folk struck again on Sunday, August 20, delivering the goods to 20 households across the Midlands. Twenty 8x8 and three family-size casseroles, and 21 loaves of homemade sourdough bread reached their final and most appreciated destination: the homes, hearts, and tables of our people.

How did this happen? Numerous chefs, 14 drivers, and other volunteers made it their ministry to show love by committing to do whatever it took to get the job done. You’ll like knowing that several casseroles are delivered to friends of SABC, not just our members.

Holy Casseroley is a ministry of love that was inaugurated in July and is made possible by donations and over 44 volunteers who desire to help and live as Jesus did, by feeding people. We want to show caring for the SABC shut-ins, seniors, friends, and anyone wanting a good meal prepared by the best Baptist cooks in the entire Southeast.

You don’t have to be elderly or ailing to get a casserole. If you have a busy week — maybe several appointments or you’re carpooling children with tight schedules or outpatient surgery or you’re just sick of cooking — plan to reserve and pick up a casserole. If a Sunday School member needs help or an emergency arises, casseroles are just a phone call away.

Our shut-ins are missed and a casserole shows they are loved. They write notes saying they are blessed with not only the delicious food, but by a visit with the driver.

Holy Casseroley delivery strikes again on Sunday, September 17, 2023.
